A young talented rapper
and song writer artist, Olatunji Oladotun Alade popular known as Dotman has
released a new video called ‘Yes! Melo’.
Dotman, an undergraduate
at the University of Lagos, student of Physics education said that he has what
it takes to be among top artists in
Nigeria.
According to Dotman, the
video was directed by Mazi C.I.Jizzle Scaletone media production under the
record label of U and I music.
He further explained that “it took three weeks to finish the video;
We wanted to capture some scenes and we succeeded in doing it, though it is not
easy to shoot a video on the street of Lagos, it was very challenging”.
Yes melo “it’s a street
song, when we were growing up you must be familiar with slag ‘Yes Melo, that
were the tittle of my song was griven from. Before someone buy yougust, gala or
other thing, the seller usually say, yes melo, like, how many did you
want. It a street word, Dotman said.
Despite doing the same
type of song with Olamide, Reminsce, Lil Kesh and others, the 300 level student
said that the ready made artists are no challenge to him rather,
“they are motivation,
“they are good at what they do regardless of my indigenous rapping style”. Each
of them has different style and I am coming with my style and focusing on
myself.
He said that, he love
music and it’s what he like to do best and hoping God to make my dream come
through in the
industry.
I have two videos
outside there “Fine girl”, with the latest one, trust me there are bigger
things coming, bigger jams are coming because I can’t disappoint my people.
I will like to thank my
