O’Odua Nationalist Coalition (ONAC), a coalition of 35 pan Yoruba groups, on Monday in Lagos called on President Muhammdu Buhari to order a full scale investigation into the wanton killings of six innocent people by suspected political thugs around Igbokoda area of Ilaje, Ondo State.

Director of Press Affairs for ONAC, Dr Akinwunmi Oriola,  in a statement made available to our correspondent, fingered Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Frederick Akinruntan, as the allege mastermind of the series of killings.

The words of Oriola: In the past few months, human lives have come under severe and malicious attacks in the context of the supremacy war being waged by the Olugbo of Ugboland, where no fewer than six people, ONAC members in Ondo inclusive, have been hacked to death.

The ONAC spokesman named Deji Enikologbon, Iroayo Nana, and Banji Orofin, as three of six persons, who were allegedly killed by political thugs and their bodies burnt.

He further explained that Oba Akinruntan, who was chased out of Ugbo, his ancestral home, imposed himself on the people of Igbokoba, where he is calling the shots and desperately making efforts to act as if he is the legitimate traditional ruler of Igbokoda.

While calling on Oba Akinruntan to henceforth seize to sponsor armed attacks to attack the peace loving people of Igbokoda land, the group also urged the Federal Government to launch a mop-up of arms in Ilajeland, Igbokoda and other parts of Ondo State.
