Federal inland revenue service (FIRS) has moved
against tax defaulting firms in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun over N306.82million debt.
In Abuja, the service
sealed up Bolingo Hotels and Towers over a N24, 422,572.84 outstanding debt accumulated
from 2002 till date.
Bukar Umar Gana, who led the enforcement squad said that his
officials could not locate Etat Consulting Limited in Abuja with an outstanding
debt of N32, 448,510.
His words: “The amount
includes company income tax, withholding tax and education tax”.
In Lagos, The Nigerian
German Chemicals Limited on Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja and Trident Marketing
Limited, Ajao Road, Ikeja were also sealed-up over tax debt in excess of N146.6
million and N90.8 million respectively.
