Motorists, commuters go through hell at Owode bus-stop in Ogun

In the last few days, motorists and commuters passing through Owode bus-stop along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway in Ogun state, south-west Nigeria had to go through hell, due to the deplorable conditions of both sides of the expressway.

Our correspondent, who passed though the bus-stop at the weekend observed that motorists were at a standstill for hours on end at the bus-stop as the rains has eaten up parts of the expressway, resulting in large potholes and waterlogged areas  being spotted.

Commercial bus drivers and okada riders capitalized on the deplorable situations to hike up their transport fares by as much as 200% for passengers either entering or leaving Ogun from Lagos

Inward Ogun, the build-up to the hellish experience began at the foot of Sango Ota bridge, where some potholes and waterlogged areas were also noticed, through Ijako up to Owode bus-stop and even beyond.
