How to identify a potential awawa cultist in Lagos

     Suspected cultists in police net
     By Emmanuel Udom

Suspected cultists have been on rampage in recent time in parts of Lagos, south-west Nigeria.

But, the police have also unleashed terror on some of the these cultists, arresting more than 250 of them in cult prone areas of Mushin, Ebutte Metta, Iwaya, Agege, Ajegunle, Ijora Olopa, etc.

Fatai Owoseni, Lagos police chief recently explained some of the clues that could lead people to identifying suspected cultists, living within their communities.

Owoseni said the group members were known by the identical marks and inscriptions on their bodies.

Checks reveal that the mark could be in form of a dollar signs or fish which are inscribed around the neck or arm, or eye areas within the body.
