There are indications that the Niger State Police Command may have
declared one Miss Augustina Osawmengie Asemota, a suspected lesbian wanted in
connection with an incident.
Our correspondent gathered that Asemota, a resident of 97B, Sabon
Garri Road, Minna, Niger State was caught making love to another lady.
According to our sources, she was involved in the affairs with the
lady, identified as Miss Lucy Olua, at the auditorium of Yaweh Global
International Ministry, located at No 6, Church Road in Minna, Niger State, on
January 18, 2016.
Olabisi Kolawole, force police public relations officer,
an assistant commissioner of police, did not pick her call when contacted for
official comment on the issue.
Recall
that in January, 2014, former President Goodluck Jonathan signed the Same Sex
Marriage (Prohibition) Act into law, where lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and
transgender suspects face a jail term of 14 years, if caught.
