Mass transfers hit DPOs Lagos police

     By Emmanuel Udom

Police area commanders and divisional police officers in Lagos have been transferred in a major shake-up ahead of the 2015 general elections.

ACs and DPOs were taken aback on Friday when the Lagos state command in the directive of Kayode Aderanti ordered for the mass transfers, which came as a surprise to most of the   senior officers.

Our correspondent gathered that all the DPOs from the 98 police divisions in the state have been moved to their new postings.

For instance, in Area A police command, Fayode Adegoke, a chief superintendent of police, was recently promoted an assistant commissioner of police.

However, Monday Agbonika, a chief superintendent of police and divisional police officer of Adeniji Adele police station in Lagos Island was re-deploy to take charge of Oke-Odo police station in Agbado/Oke-Odo local council development council as the new DPO.

Woman Superintendent of Police Aisha Haruna was moved as DPO from Ikoyi police station to Lion Building police station in Lagos Island.

Our correspondent further gathered that all the divisional police officers serving at Area B command, Apapa, lagos have been re-deployed.
The DPOs are: Usman Ndanbabo, Ishola Olarewaju, Chijioke Ndu, Lanre Ogunlowo, Mohammed Ibrahim and Benjamin Adeola among others.

In Area M police command Chioma Ajunwa, a woman chief superintendent of police and divisional police officer of Meiran police station  has been moved to Ogudu police station, while Achinyan Fera also moved from Oke-Odo police station to Pen Cinema in Agege,
