New Nigeria Group (NNG) has called on Nigerians to pause and ponder on
the allege looting of the treasury of the Rivers State by Rotimi Amaechi, the governor to fund the activities of the
opposition All Progressives Congress.
APC is the frontline political party in
Nigeria routing to unseat the ruling People’s
Democratic Party (PDP) at various levels in the up-coming general elections
in 2015.
NNG, in a recent short message service
sent to our correspondent asked: Is it integrity
for a governor to use state funds to bankroll the presidential campaign of his
party?
The group wondered
where Rotimi Amaechi, governor of Rivers state got the billions he is spending on retired Major
General Mohammed Buhari, the presidential aspirant of the opposition, All
Progressives Congress in the 2015 presidential election.
According to
the group, Buhari cannot pretend not to know, where the billions in naira and
other foreign currencies are coming from.
