The
police in Jigawa state has placed a total
ban on the use of fireworks, bangers and other explosives during the
forth-coming christmas and new year celebrations.
Abdu Jinjiri, police
public relations officer, Jigawa state police command dropped this hint Tuesday
in Dutse, the state capital.
His words: “This is to remind the general public that the ban on
the use of fireworks, bangers and other explosives during any celebration is still
in force.”
The police image maker warned parents and guardian to advise
their children and wards to refrain from the use of such explosives capable of
instilling fear in the people, especially during the upcoming Yuletide
celebration.
