The police in Enugu have arrested 11 people for obstructing the flow of traffic around old park/holy ghost axis and new market axis.
This is in the spirit of War Against Indiscipline (WAI), introduced by the federal government of Nigeria to restore sanity to states across the federation.
Ebere Amaraizu, police image maker for Enugu state police command, while confirming the arrest Thursday said that it was effected by officers from the Central police station, Enugu.
His words: “As part of the ongoing effort of the command toward ensuring a free flow of traffic in Enugu, the command is reminding members of the public against blocking roads with wheel barrows, displaying wares on the road, thereby causing traffic congestion,’’
According to him, “people committing such unpatriotic act would be apprehended and arraigned in line with the relevant sections of the law."
