Ondo
state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has commiserated
with the family of late Alhaji Jide
Salami, a member of the Institute and a staff of Mass Communication Department, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State who
recently died after a brief illness.
In a condolence letter jointly signed by the Institute's State Chairman, Dr. Ishola Lamidi and Secretary, Ayokunle Ikusemiju, members of the Institute mourned and empathised with the family of the deceased Public Relations Practitioner.
The Institute has, therefore, postponed its monthly meeting for the month of October, as a mark of respect for the departed colleague.
It
described the deceased as a very dedicated member; known to be a
hardworking, resilient, punctual, enigmatic and a consummate lecturer, saying
he showed great commitment to any cause he believed in and gave supports to
those in need.
Alhaji Salami contributed in
no small measure to the success of the Institute's Public Lecture/Hosting of
Veterans/AGM and Election which took place late last month in the state chapter.
The
Institute, therefore, expressed its deepest and heartfelt condolence to the
family, assuring them of its continued support. It also prayed that God grants
