Two suspected cassava
thieves were stripped, beaten and wounded for allegedly stealing cassava Tuesday
at Akwa Ibom state, south-south Nigeria.
Barrister Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer dropped this bombshell in his twitter
handle.
Effiong, who is also the convener, Coalition of Human Rights
Defenders said the farm caught the duo and raised an alarm which attracted
residents to the scene.
His words: "Stripped,
beaten & wounded for allegedly stealing cassava. Jungle justice for the
poor, rule of law for the rich."
This is one among many
