Wole Soyinka, noble laureate has hit real hard
on religious extremists in Nigeria.
Speaking
on “culture at risk” at the University of Benin, Edo state, mid-west Nigeria Thursday,
Soyinka called for the prosecution of preachers of religious intolerance in the
country.
According to him, “hate preachers should be prosecuted and made
to atone for their offences since they spread toxin injected on them by their so-called spiritual leaders, which
has resulted in violence, killings, maiming and destructions”.
