Four persons
abducted in Isheri area of Lagos, south-west Nigeria are to pay N300millon each
to their abductors before regaining their freedom.
This
translates to about N1.2billion, which the kidnappers who established contacts Sunday
with the family members of their victims are demanding.
The unknown
kidnappers are insisting that the money should be deposited at a designated point.
But, Ahmed Iliasu, Ogun state police commissioner told channels television
that a combined team of 30 policemen have been deployed to the area in search
of the kidnapped residents.
Our correspondent recalled that the four victims were kidnapped
during an aerobic session in the early hours of saturday.
An eyewitness said the three kidnappers, who were all armed and
masked, came in from the water side.
