The federal government has Monday
12th and Tuesday 13th September, 2016 as public holidays to mark Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, minister of interior said this Wednesday in Abuja.
He called on Nigerians, regardless
of their religion to join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari in
his sustained efforts to diversify the economy and progressively accelerate the
pace of economic recovery.
According to Dambazau,
the government is aware of the present economic challenges the nation is
facing, following the downturn in oil prices and assures that appropriate steps
are being taken to address them.
The could be addressed through
revitalizing the agricultural sector, the “Youth Empowerment Scheme” in
the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the “Change Begins with
Me”, a value re-orientation programme and other “Social Intervention”
programmes.
Also, massive capital
release all aimed at stimulating the economy towards the path of growth and
recovery could be injected into the economy of the country.
