In his usual
tradition, Temitope Balogun Joshua,
founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nation
donated hundreds of bags of rice to serving police officers in all the commands,
units and formations in Lagos state, south-west Nigeria.
This humanitarian
gesture, which has over the years become the annual ritual for the man from the
synagogue is coming amidst the legal cross-fire his church is presently going
through over the collapsed of one of his many buildings at his church premises located at Ikotun, a Lagos ghetto.
Our
correspondent, who was at the Lagos state police command yesterday observed bags
of TB Joshua rice in some of the police offices visited.
“The donation was made last week of
December, few days to the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016”, a senior
police officer at the command, who claimed to be a member of TB Joshua church said.
However, some police officers disclosed that
for reasons best known to them, some of the officers either out-rightly rejected
the rice, with the inscription, Emmanuel
TV, or gave it to their colleagues, while other officers gladly collected it.
