                                By Emmanuel Udom
Feelers emanating from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, south-west Nigeria seem to be quite disturbing and embarrassing.
www.vicnuel.blogspot.com learnt that the bursar of the foremost college, Olu Ibirogba was arrested on Monday by operatives of the dreaded Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and whisked away to their Lagos office.
According to dependable sources, bursar was picked-up for interrogations, following the series of reports on alleged fraudulent activities uncovered by Joseph Babatunde Akeju, former bursar of Yabatech, who served during the tenure of Olubunmi Owoso, as rector.
The Owoso-led tenure was said to have dealt with Akeju for allegedly exposing what could be described as the monumental and systematic looting of the college, our reporter learnt.
However, following the arrest of Ibirogba on Monday the management of the college, led by Dr (Mrs) Margret Ladipo is said to have ordered that the office of the bursar be sealed-up, pending when he will be left off the hook by the anti-corruption agency.
The embattled bursar is alleged to have manipulated the accounting and financial records of Yabatech to hide the allege fraud perpetuated by the former rector.
This site will keep our numerous readers posted as events unfold.
