The Asiwaju of Ebira indigenes in Lagos state, Alhaji Momoh Sanni Yukub, on Monday explained what endears the departed Abubakar Audu, the incumbent governor of Kogi state, who was aspiring to govern the confluence state for second term during the last Saturday governorship election.
Yakub in an exclusive chat with our correspondent said that Audu was a bundle of humility, patience and exhibited profound respect and worship for Allah, his creator and fellow human beings, regardless of colour, race and status in life.
These noble virtues of his led to his delivering of democracy dividends to the good people of Kogi state and by extension, Nigeria as a whole.
It could be re-called that Audu, who was gunning for second term as governor of Kogi state on Sunday, November 22, slumped and died while the results of the governorship election, which he was having an upper hand was declared by the electoral body as inconclusive.
However, Asiwaju Yakub called on all indigenes of Kogi state in particular and entire Nigerians in general to accept the demise of the All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant in the state as the wish of God or Allah.
Asiwaju Yakub further urges President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to also accept the demise of Audu, who was one of the frontline APC members in good faith, saying the Allah giveth, Allah taketh
