Holy Qur’an and Hadith of the messenger of Allah, Prophet
Muhammed(PBUH) that encouraged inhuman to fellow human being on earth as being perpetrated by the Hausa/Fulani against other ethnic groups in the country under the guise of propagating religion since
independence.
Reacting to the position of the MUSWEN through its Executive
Secretary, Professor Daud O.S. Noibi on the resolution of the Yoruba
Socio-Cultural organization, Afenifere, in respect of the recent
abduction of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae and incessant attacks of Farmers by the Fulani Herdsmen in the region, the group maintained that it required the joint effort of all and sundry to stamp out the menace of Fulani herdsmen from the region.
In a statement issued and signed by the Convener of the group, Comrade Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman which a copy was made available to newsmen in Lagos at weekend, rejected the sentimental aspersion of the MUSWEN in their media advertorial, urging the Islamic groups in the region, especially, Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) to strongly condemn the evil acts perpetrated by the Fulani Herdsmen, rather than supporting the satanic,ungodly,evil, and devilish acts of Fulani Herdsmen stylishly.
Comrade Sulaiman who is also a scholar in Islamic Comparative Studies, commended Yoruba socio-cultural organization for taking the
progressive and decisive stand against the satanic acts of the Fulani
Herdsmen, cautioned the leadership of the MUSWEN from whipping
political sentiment on the sensitive and important issue of dastard
acts of Fulani herdsmen who have been terrorizing the people,
particularly, farmers of the region from the years back now
,supporting his argument with the reference to the Holy Qur’an in
Suratul Azhabhu Chapter 33 vrs 28 to 33,59,&60-62, Suratul Al-Imran
Chapter 3 vrs 69 to 73, 78,104 and 118 to 120 and Suratul Nizahi Chapter 4 vrs 74 to 76,105-109 &135 and Suratul Bakorah Chapter 2 vrs 114 & 119-121 respectively.
SLG boss stressed that Islam as a religion of peace,preaching
equity,fairness and justice and did not support any heinous and
ungodly act in any form,noted that "it is totally condemnable and very
unfortunate that Muslim Ummah of South West
Nigeria (MUSWEN) can be raising their pen and defending and the evil
act of Fulani herdsmen by justifying their incessant heinous crime
committed against humanity,especially,the people of Southwest under
the cover of religion loyalty.
He asked leadership of MUSWEN rhetorically that they should point out
the time the religious leaders in the Northern part of the country
insubordinate the position of Arewa Consultative Forum(ACF),reiterated
the group support for the position of the Yoruba socio-cultural
organization,Afenifere on the subject matter,urging Islamic
organization to refrain itself from dragging its good name into the
mockery of ethno-political issue of this nature.
According to him, “Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) should retrace its step from dabbling into ethno-political issue of this
nature because they do not have the mandate to do so. If we may say,
most of Islamic organizations in the region are used for selfish
interest and not for the interest of any Muslim ummah as being
claimed.
