Lagos
For the police in Lagos, Tuesday, October 13, was yet another bad day. It was on this fateful day that suspected armed robbers allegedly loot Diamond and Access banks, located along 4th Avenue in Festac Town, south-west Nigeria.
Online reports have it that the suspects, fully armed, stormed the banks through 4th Avenue and after allegedly looted the banks of undisclosed sums, escaped through the waterways, despite sporadic shootings by police officers in the area.
A resident of the area, who spoke
off records, argued that an unidentified woman with her baby was allegedly
killed by stray bullets from the guns of the suspected robbers, while trying to
escape from the area after looting the banks.

did not pick his calls, when our correspondent wanted to get official police
