Despite strong oppositions by the All
Progressives Congress senators over the nomination of Musiliu Obanikoro, as minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan on
Wednesday in Abuja swore in the former Lagos PDP guber aspirant and others.
Obanikoro, who was floored by Jimi Agbaje, while scheming and
plotting to unseat Babatunde Fashola
via the ballot box as governor of Lagos state, during the primaries is now the
minister of state for foreign affairs II.
Nicholas Ada from Benue state is the minister of state for
foreign affairs I, even as Jonathan has reshuffled the health ministry. Alhassan
Khaliru the minister of health, while Fidelis Nwankwo, is now the new minister
of state for health.
Other ministers sworn are: Patricia Akwashiki from Nasarawa, Augustine Akobundu from Abia State,Defence,
Hauwa’u Bappa, minister of state for Niger
Delta Affairs; Kenneth Kobani from Rivers, minister of state for industry, Trade and Investment and Joel Ikenya
from Taraba minister of labour.
