Feelers have
it that Nigerian police chief; Suleiman Abba on Tuesday ordered that some
assistant commissioners of police (ACPs) be re-deployed across the states of
the federation.
The moves,
our correspondent gathered is in line with the determination of the Inspector-general
of police to place tested, experienced and professional police officers in their
right positions ahead of the forth-coming elections in Nigeria.
According to
sources at police headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, ACP Ibrahim Zakar has been moved to Bori in
Rivers state police command as area commander, ACP Kenneth Akuhue also became 2i/c
at the same command, while ACP Ibani Romokere Disu is the new SOS at Port
Harcourt, Rivers state.
Others ACPs re-deploy are: Tajudeen Bakare, Ahmed
Garba and Uzodinma Anaekwe, among others.
