A website is
like your complimentary card. If I hand you my call card, telling you of my
line of business, this is just the first step in establishing a business
relationship with you.
However, I
need to oil that relationship, so to say. How? From time to time, I need to
give you a call, send you an sms, email or chart with you on facebook or any of
the social media.
Off course you
know the reason: while you are going about your daily hustles and bustles, you may forget about my complimentary
card.
But, with
frequent reminders, you will certainly have me in mind, when someone you know
is looking out to solve a particular problem that you know I could be able to
help.
It is one
thing to build a fantastic website or blog, write a fantastic sales copy and
post it on your site, thinking people
will visit your site or blog as soon as it
is up and running. This is not correct.
How on earth do I hope to attract
traffics (people) to my site or blog and eventually sell my products or
services, if I write one sales copy, post it on the site and leave it there for
ages?
Last week, I
spend five hours on the net looking through some websites and blogs. At the end
of the day, I came out with the impressions that some persons and firms out
there do not know that with information
technology, computers and internet, everything, business inclusive have gone
online.
The Way out
1 Contents- You may not be able to attract
traffics (people) to your site or blog,
if you do not write articles and advertising copies that will add value and benefits to people
who visit your site or blog.
There are about
2 billion sites and blogs on the net. Honestly speaking, people are not
interested in your products or services. What they are interested in is what they stand to benefit from visiting your
site.
Therefore,
with the help of the search engines, research on specific challenges people are
facing in a particular field or line of business and in your articles, give
specific information on how to solve these challenges and people will continue
to visit your site or blog again and again.
2 Social media- The social media is tested and credible platforms to publicize
your products and services. So, after writing your fantastic sales copies, link
them up with facebook, twitter, linkserve and others.
This is one
of the many ways of building a large community of followers that will
eventually patronize your products or services, after reading your valuable
articles.
The social media
is a free platform, compared to your having to place adverts in newspapers or magazines and the reach is
limitless, instantaneous and interactive.
3 Joint Ventures-Your site or blog may not have the capacity to
deliver on all the products and services listed on your complimentary card. Remember
I said, may not. It may also have the capacity on deliveries.
But, head or
tail, partner with some credible persons
and firms involved in products or services
or other, publicize them on your site or
blog and earn residual income as commissions, each time a business deal, broker
by you is successfully sealed and
delivered.
