    The executive director of Lagos State Trust Fund, Mr. Fola Arthur-Worrey has called for increase in intelligence capability of Police and DSS, if the country is to win the terrorism war.
    Arthur-Worrey who spoke Thursday at the CRAN annual award held at the POWA multi-purpose hall, Oduduwa crescent, Lagos urged the federal government to dissolve all non-essential ministries to save money to fight terror.
    Delivering his lecture, he frowned at the duplication of similar security agencies which he argued that are counter-productive.
    “We must strengthen the bond among the security agencies and never dialogue with them as United States of America never negotiated but apprehended Osama Bin-laden. Our intelligent gathering must be so sophisticated that we should know what Shekawu and his men are doing at their camp in Sambisa forest”, he said.
    While scoring the federal government low mark in its war against terrorism, he called for the review of the Petroleum Trust fund which he said should be directed towards fighting insurgency.

    Earlier, the chairman of the occasion, Dr Boniface Aniebonam of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders called on Nigerians to show clear patriotism, while urging the federal government to take full control of the terror war presently ravaging the country.
    The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola who was represented by Mrs Idowu Alakija called on Nigerians to always be on alert saying “In Britain everybody is police and work hand in hand with security agencies to tackle crime.
    In his opening address, the CRAN President, Comrade Christopher Oji pleaded with the public to expose perpetrators of crime in their midst by passing information to appropriate security agencies.
