The federal government has
appointed Tikari T.Y. Danjuma as co-ordinator
for the Niger Delta Riverine Programme.
Usani Uguru Usani, minister of the Niger Delta made this disclosure
at the weekend.
According to Usani, the effort by the FG is to “stem
the tide of youth restiveness and ensure the security of lives and property of
the residents of Niger Delta area”.
Marshall Gundu, director, press & public relations for the quoted Usani as
saying that the appointment of Danjuma, a businessman based in Warri, Delta state
takes immediate effect.
