God will destroy Nigerians who buy voters cards for the 2015 elections-Olumba Olumba Obu

    By Williams Akpan

Spiritual leader of the Brotherhood of Cross and Star, Olumba Olumba Obu, is on the offensive, over Nigerians who are busy buying the permanent voters cards ahead of the elections in Nigeria.

Delivering a sermon at the headquarters of the church recently in Calabar, Cross River State, Obu, the mysterious cleric said point-blank that God will pour his wrath on those who sell and buy voters card.

According to him, some Nigerians who are in the habit of selling and buying voters card, have been warned to desist from such unpatriotic acts as they  stand the risk of been destroyed by God should they persist.

His words "If you politicians have genuine love for the masses, you would have while in office formulate masses oriented policies thereby save yourselves of all these extra rigorous campaign that you are now embarking on.

They wouldn't have been necessary as the electorates would have gladly reciprocated by giving you their votes without any strings attached"

He therefore implored the politicians to imbibe the politics where love for the led will be the defining factor so as to assure that elections are won only on track records  and how they have fared when they were given an earlier opportunity  to serve even as he caution both the politicians and the electorates to desist from the buying and selling of voters cards or face the wrath of God as both giver and taker are guilty of the offense of bribery.

He took a swipe at some state governors who are owing their workers for as much as two months salary yet are now busy doling out money to buy voters cards to remember that soonest they will be visited by the wrath of God

In a related development, Evangelist Emma Goodnews Ezeani, chairman, Lagos state chapter of Igbo Christians Traders & Gospel Ministers Association, while endorsing the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan said that Nigerians who are not interested in voting in the forth-coming elections are not being fair to the country.
According to him, if Nigerians do not come out enmass to re-elect Jonathan to continue from where he stopped in the delivery of democracy dividends to our citizens, the country will go back to zero level.
