A total of 3862 poultry farmers are
to benefit from the poultry anchor borrowers’ program.
It is an empowerment programme for
small and medium scale farmers and enterprises packaged by the Akwa Ibom state
government in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
A recent post on the website of the
state disclosed that the programme is in fulfillment of the campaign promise made
by Emmanuel Udom, governor of Akwa Ibom state to alleviate poverty and create
opportunity for the people to arise (Dakkada).
